Visiting St Gregory's Minster Kirkdale

Worship at St Gregory's Minster

Worship (weekly throughout the year) is ordered largely on the basis of the Book of Common Prayer. The Minster nurtures a strong choral tradition under the leadership of its Director of Music, John Hastie. The choir sings an increasingly wide selection of music at weekly services, from Gregorian Chant to present day composers.

Worship Music at the Minster

St Gregory's Minster Choir welcomes new members with a good ear, the ability to read music and a love of Church music.

Visitors at the Minster

The church community is pleased to welcome visitors from all over the world who, judging by their comments in the visitors' book, are delighted to find the church open during the day. During summer weekends, volunteer stewards are on hand to help people make the most of their visit. By prior arrangement it is usually possible for groups to be given a guided tour of this Grade 1 Listed Building.

For many years, the Parish of Kirkdale has been in Local Ecumenical Partnership with our daughter church, St Hilda's, Beadlam.
