Visiting All Saints & St James

Our church is open every day for private prayer, as a space for quiet contemplation or to enjoy the historic building.  You are most welcome, do come and visit us.

We normally hold a service every Sunday at 11 a.m which follows the Book of Common Prayer.  It could be Matins or Holy Communion, all are welcome to attend all our services.

As Christians our full purpose in life is to worship God, not just on Sundays but every day of our lives.  When we gather together, we sing hymns accompanied by an organ, listen to scripture, gather around the Lord's table to receive Holy Communion and we offer prayers for our own needs and the needs of the world.  To read more about what to expect visit the Church of England website.

The service generally lasts about an hour and our Church Wardens will greet you to make you feel welcome and ensure you have everything you need to join in worship with us.

During the Church year we hold other kinds of worship that follow patterns from Common Worship, such as Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival, Remembrance Sunday and a Christingle Service.  Sometimes these are held outside the Church building and are especially enjoyed by families in the village.
